Plastic Free

Our Lip & Cheek Tints come in reusable tins with all recyclable and compostable packaging from a Toward Zero Waste facility.

Use your empty tins to store jewelry or small personal items during travel, keep earplugs or earbuds clean and secure, or refill tins with your own homemade body products or paints!

Check out some more ways to re-purpose your empties!

Vegan and Synthetic-Free

This is a Certified Vegan product, and is made with only plant and mineral ingredients. We use no petroleum, and no synthetic fragrances or colorants. Avoid innumerable potential allergens and endocrine-disrupting phthalates and parabens from synthetics! Stick with nature.

Efficient & Portable

Whether you're big into makeup or not, you may like to have the option to glam up a bit when the spirit moves you. Keep a tin of your signature color around in a purse or pocket! When one tin works for lips, cheeks, and lids, a moment's notice is all you'll ever need.

Sheer, Blendable & Flattering

These nourishing plant-based balms are tinted with mineral micas and oxides for sheer, subtle color that flatters most complexions.

Organic, Fair Trade Cocoa Butter

Cocoa butter is a great source of Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant known to reduce UV skin damage and combat the effects of free radicals. It contains high levels of fatty acids that help to hydrate skin, creating a protective barrier that holds in moisture.

Plus, our cocoa butter base is Certified Organic and Certified Fair Trade!

Avocado Oil

Another excellent source of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals that work to keep your skin strong, smooth, and elastic. Packed with nourishing and protective properties to soothe and restore dry or chapped skin.

Candelilla Wax

Candelilla wax is vitamin-rich, vegan, and non-allergenic humectant (moisture-retainer) made from the Candelilla shrub, so named because it has long been used to made candles. Its wax is easily absorbed and non-comedogenic, meaning it won't clog pores or exacerbate naturally oily skin types.

Micas/Oxides

For color, we use lab-created, nature-identical micas and/or oxides. That means they have all the same chemical properties of naturally-occurring minerals without the risk of contamination or heavy metals, and without contributing to exploitation by the mica mining industry.

Though creamy, this balm is solid. Rubbing your fingertip across the surface of the balm won't collect much color, so you'll want to do this neat little scoop and transfer: Bring thumb to index finger and use the back of your fingernail to scoop a small amount from the tin - aim for about the size of a grain of rice - and transfer it to your opposite fingertip to use as a palate.

You may want to massage the balm between your index fingers to warm and smooth it before application, and this is an opportunity to tweak the color! Add a small scoop of any other color you wish onto your fingertip palate and massage until blended. Mix any color with a bit of 'Ghost' to add opacity and create unique pastel variants!

To apply to cheeks, massage your balm of choice between fingertips until evenly distributed, then dab symmetrically along cheekbones and rub to blend out.

To apply around eyes, use a similar dap and rub method to achieve your desired contour. (When using oil-based color on your eyes, creases are likely. If that bothers you, you may wish to prime with powder before applying, or wear these colors above your crease along the underside of your brow, or at the inner and/or outer corners of your eyes.)

Hi! Do you have any photos of someone with mulberry lip & cheek tint on their face? I’m thinking about ordering it but need to see if it’s the right color for me. Thanks!
